Jan 25-27 Snow Storm Total Prediction Thread!
This one could go from Sunday evening to mid-day on Tuesday! Weather gurus are all over the map on this one right now with guestimates from 1-8" right now.
Your final storm snow total prediction for IAD must be posted by 11 pm on Sunday.

Starting to get a coating on the grass........melting on the roads.
Looks like a real event possible for us on Sun/Mon!
My flight to NY tomorrow already got cancelled. They don't want any southerners up that way in the middle of a blizzard.

I say 2 by tomorrow morning.....the roads are definitely too warm in DC for anything to stick. Maybe by tonight though!

1.4" reported so far by NWS in Ashburn as of 8PM! No IAD numbers yet...........
Unofficially, Ernie is the closest so far with me running a bit distant second......need another 1" overnight!

Final number from NWS...........
DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT 2.0" 700 AM 1/27
My 2.6" prediction (+0.6") was the closest, with Ernie a close 2nd with 1.25" (-0.75")

Just realized.........Too bad that Backtofuturetoyota didn't get his prediction in before the deadline.......would have nailed it on the money with 2.0".
