I was there Thursday afternoon
the water was nearly as green as the Chicago River on St Patrick's Day
I snagged my silver buddy on the second cast.
this set the tone for the outing
I work a grub around the pilings for a while, but barely managed a few bluegill taps

Fished 6 of the ponds Sat. and only 4 small bass to show for it .

I was there briefly -about 20 minutes
it was a slate grey afternoon
the water was flat out green- I mean weird -I thought perhaps something has been added to it
after I lost my silver buddy, I didn't stay long

Lots of algae control in the lakes this year....

Hi. Just joined the board. I have been fishing the Ashburn ponds for several years now, and have fished/talked with many of you here on various occasions. You have all been very helpful, so I figure I should do the same.
I have been fishing Pavilion consistently for the last couple of weeks and have found my best success fishing a rattle trap near the surface around rocks. As long as I can keep it out of the algae, I have been catching solid fish. Many have really put some weight on recently.
Anyway, feel free to fish with me if you see someone slinging rattle traps at Pavilion. I'll be out there as long as the decent weather holds up.

Welcome Kevin! I'm sure the wicked cold front that came through this weekend killed the bite. Sounds like Kevin found a decent pattern. This time of year should be great for a rattle trap. Anyone get water temp out there this weekend? My Brambleton spot was at 60* before this latest round of cold weather. Got to be dropping now!

Went out to Pavilion for about an hour yesterday. Maybe had one short strike but that was it. May try again today.

Haven't been out in a while, but hopefully soon and when I do I'll be sure to have a lipless tied on.

It's been bad for me the last couple of days. Pattern died on multiple lakes.
