I happen to fish the pond in the neighborhood and was doing great catching alot of nice size bluegills and some bass when this big fella scared the crap out of me while I was reeling in this bluegill (the photo doesn't do it any justice.....this bluegill was a big one and the turtle was huge).  The heavy pull and then the shadow following behind no kidding made me want to take a step back from the rock I was standing on.  The turtle wasn't letting go and he seemed like a really old fella, so I reeled all the way up to the lure and pushed into the mouth of the fish to release the hook.  The turtle was satisfied with eating the fish, but stayed near me until I reeled in his next meal.  I caught another smaller blue gill and propped it near him to snap into....what a sight to see....
