I sure hope Topper doesn't see your forecast, he'll have channel 9's whole weather crew up around the clock all week, There won't be a roll of TP in the whole metro area.

The forecasters are all over the place on this one....as they always are.
The Euro say one thing, the GFS another. They work off multiple models that show shifts every few hours.

Looks like the Western side of Ashburn Village Blvd is going to get 10-12 inches of snow and the Eastern side of Ashburn is going to be all rain ![]()

Inches....new model shows 8-12" possibility for us.

Wow, who would have guessed we would get something after the non snowy winter we've had. I for one look forward to a lot of snow, but I've learned not to trust the weather forecast. I bet we just get enough to dirty the vehicles and empty the shelves. On a side note, I understand that European model is much more sophisticated in identifying/predicting.

Yeah, we'll get some snow.
I fished Saturday & was not ready to put the gloves away. It was CHILLY!

Should we have a Dulles (NOAA reporting station) snow total pool?
If so, predictions should be posted no later than 10 pm Tuesday...........

Great idea curly....just for fun if anything. Bonus to anyone who goes out fishing in the snow!

I am thinking anything over 6 inches and we need to have a fish story/drinking meeting at Fords Wednesday night.

So....we are supposed to get almost 2" of liquid. That could mean 20" of snow using the normal 10:1 ratio. But if it is wet snow, the ratio is less. They say that we should stay cold enough in the Dulles area to get all snow from that liquid.
Everyone is changing forecasts to vcover their behinds....
I have been called to volunteer at Loudoun Hospital to drive nurses, technitians and doctors from and from home and hospital. They expect a significant snow. The last time they called was in 2010. I need to find my boots.....
