Big FREEZE

Not going to get above freezing for at least a week.  Ponds and lakes will be frozen for a while sad ..........................tongue

Maybe I can organize my lures during the freeze-over....

How many ways can you sort blue jigs?

Re: Big FREEZE

Starting to get the fishing DTs.  Lakes are frozen and I'm getting strange twitches in my arms............and a few neck/head twitches  sad .  Maybe a little severe depression is starting to take hold of me?  Everything is frozen..............maybe drag a jig across the ice tomorrow for a little relief?  Three days of ice and I'm climbing the walls!  I need a fix! lol

I've already sorted all my 3/8 and 1/4 blue/black P&Js.................that took about a minute tongue .

Curly,
Too keep busy, perhaps you can try naming each J&P. Then maybe you can try to allow them to date...and who knows, maybe they will eventually have some offspring that I know you'll put to good use. Wow...guess I'm going a little crazy too!

Re: Big FREEZE

my buddy gave me a whole box of nice jigs

he is one of these tournament guys-has more tackle than walmart

he will have 6 to 12 rods on deck-pre rigged

he might be able to last 15 min before he has to dig something else out

then, it begins to antagonize him, that i pretty much throw one bait on one rod all day long

Re: Big FREEZE

oh ya, the jigs he gave me are in a box that once held kitchen bags

this is likely as sorted as they will get

Re: Big FREEZE

Big WARM next week!

JAN 28-29-30-- very warm temps for late January!

Could get near 70 at some point!

I wish I didn't have stupid meetings in DC next week.....  mad

Chris McCotter (Lake Anna guide) just posted this: "60 degrees Monday and Tues? Tell you what, book a trip with me and if you don't catch 20 fish, the trip is free!"

But...the cold comes back in February!!

Time to go fishin' again!

Thought those looked like jig tracks on the ice. Only 11 tracks in 30 minutes, WOW... that's slow how'd you stay awake?

It was too cold to fall asleep!  It was a brutally slow hop/drag on each cast.   People walking their dogs past me thought I was crazy.............no, it was them......at least I was doin something I wanted to do ............instead of waiting on a dog to do its buisness............to pick up a pile of dog crap with a plastic bag in sub-freezing temps!.

Oh yeah..........braid is not the best choice in sub-freezing temps.  Lots of clearing the eyes!
