Holy cow! This is humbling.....
I set what I thought was a lofty goal of raising $500 for this cause. I need to adjust it as that # was reached in less than 24 hours!
Thank you!

Hey Ernie,
Son's getting ready to go off to college, wife decided that she & I should take up bike riding again.
We did a short ride starting out onthe WO&E from the 28 parking lot up to the gravel quarry Sat & Sun. Sun we stopped by Carolina Brothers for lunch. Nice break.
I'm still in shape LoL.
Hope to see you on the trail

Why do I feel like I have a big game coming up on Sunday? When I played ball, I would get really keyed up before games. Well, my game face is on!
Yesterday I did my final training ride of 26+ miles. Today I did some upper body work, tomorrow I chill and on Sunday.....I ride!!
On the fund-raising part, I hit my goal of $1500. THANKS to everyone that contributed.....but I ain't done. The team I am on (Team Red: National Capitol Area) is still short of their goal so a full court press is on. Do what you can, just go here: https://donations.diabetes.org/site/Don … XY_TYPE=20

Enjoy your ride, and no running out of gas. I'd buy you a water at the end, but I'll be out of town for a week. (no email either)
Thanks for all you do.... GO ERNIE!!!

that rim has been fine until today, then just flat went off...
bout 500 miles is the most i get before 1 grenades, and yes i true and maintain them.
going to have to start spending for a stronger wheel.

Jeff- I didn't know you liked to ride....it's a passion of mine. That's cool that you can true 'em up. I stink at that.
Did you have enough air in them?

Team Red: National Capitol Area (team I am on) raised over $51K! By far the most of any team. My supporters donated $1634, good enough for 6th place on the team.
Can't remember feeling this good.....

well i pay the guy at the shop to keep an eye on them, because i am so hard on them
i started biking late last summer, after it became clear -even to me -that i was heading for a heart attack
i used to motorcycle. in my advancing years, the bicycle is much the same, but more appropriate.
anybody can bicycle, at any pace, and enjoy benefits...just get on and enjoy the scenery
the allure will take hold.
