LKA ice

Went down to our dock this afternoon with my cordless drill and a 12" auger bit.  Drilled down 7.5" before I hit water.  Lake froze over on Jan. 21.  Might be March before we thaw out! tongue

Ugh. Wonder how the smaller lakes are doing. Was hoping to take the boat out this weekend.

Re: LKA ice

Most lakes are frozen around here.  Guys were ice fishing on Occoquan Reservoir a couple weeks back.  This is the river nearby yesterday.

Re: LKA ice

If Curly was still up here, he would be fishing the AV lakes. Lots of open water around the fountains and bubblers.

Re: LKA ice

Drove over the Doah today.  No ice was seen.  I'm sure there's some floating chunks but soon, we'll be wetting a line
