Went out between the storms to get the line wet locally. Had lot's of spawning going on with the carp and it honestly was hectic in the pads with all the splashing going on. I moved away from the hot fish action to try top water and it wsa 100% unsuccessful! lol. But then I changed to a raid lure I had just got in the mail in pink/white and bam got bass on a few casts in the same area I was just fishing top lure.
I'm still learning how to baitcast with my left hand so I'm not a clean with it, but I at least dialed in the lure weight so I don't get backlash for now.
