Met Jimmy at the ramp at 6:00am. Nice morning.
Water was muddier than I had hoped and it took a while to get the skunk out. We both did with some smaller fish.
After that we decided to make a run. Next spot started slow, then I caught this decent one.
We both caught a couple smaller ones before moving on.
It was after lunch that we caught our next fish while floating an island.

Then Jimmy caught the big one of the day.

That one drew blood...from him. I told him he had to pay to play. We had caught and lost several other fish. Including a catfish that slammed Jimmy's lure as he was about to pull it out of the water but did not stay pinned. The wind was stronger and from a different direction than forecasted as well,
Jimmy lost a big one that threw the hook before I could get the net and I had one good one get off due to a dull hook. It was screaming drag upstream then came off. I had another one break off on the hookset. We ended up with me landing 6 and Jimmy 5, Not a bad day for adverse conditions.

Great job catching a few. The wind was a little more than forecasted. But a nice day out nevertheless.

No, but I liked Jimmy's and bought a similar one. Weather was right for it. Does the job.

I have mostly switched to hoodies. Don't use a Buff as much as in the past...

nice report and congrats on getting success. It's amazing to see how aggressive cats are this time of year. and, I also mostly wear hoodies in that style of material. I have a few that have the sewn in mouth and face cover you can pull up inside the hoodie also. It's just more comfortable.
