Start to finish on a friday lunch hour
I took my lunch and ran up to locust shade near quantico (only 9 miles from me). put on a joe fly in black and got this really nice brown trout. Spent another 25 minutes there with a few more bites and came home to clean up and pack away.
I'm on a mission this year to stock up since I enjoy smoked trout.
Selfie and I'm holding it close to myself to try to get a decent comparison (my fat ass and the trout...lol)!
Weight is 2 lbs on the dot
Length is 15
Scaled, gutted, dried, and sealed!

Yes they do! And a guy showed me his catch from last year where he caught a 7 lbs brown from the same place.
The browns like the spinners and super supers while the rainbows like the powerbait.
