Truth be told, I was thinking about canceling for today because yesterday was nuts. But I thought the better of it so we went.

As we were driving to the ramp, I suggested to George that we try Roots 657 Cafe for lunch and he emphatically said, "No! We are doing Jamaican again". I was not about to argue...lol

The ride up the river was not as chilly as I thought it would be but we were well dressed.

The water looked spectacular and the flow was fast but manageable.

We hit lots of targets like this but got very few bites.

What was eerie was the lack of bird and animal activity.    hmm

As you know, I like to take a pic of the 1st fish caught and George obliged willingly!

This fatso weighed in at an even 3 pounds! Great fight! It was around 10a when he caught it.

We (mostly George) then caught a few more here and there. Enough to keep us happy.

Then, I made a cast to a seam behind a rock and was able to get this guy!

He went an ounce shy of 2lbs.

All of our fish were caught with some sort of @3" paddle tail.

By now, George has a 7-2 lead on me but we were catching some despite the slow start.

I looked at the time and it was almost 1p and suddenly, I got hungry. But I told George that it would be nice to get one more. It wasn't but a couple of minutes and George caught another one. This time on a tube.

It was time to head to the ramp so we left.

Everything went as it should with the retrieval of the boat and in no time, we were at the Roadhouse Jerk.

The owner was pleased to see us but not as pleased as we were to get more Jamaican food!

Man, it we good!

George had the Oxtails...

...and I had the Curry Chicken.

The sides were rice and peas plus fried plantains.

While I am not a big fan of curry (because it's usually overpowering), this dish was perfection!

Another highly successful outing on all accords!

Oh...I did get 3 more of his Jamaican patties to bring home. The last ones I had were outstanding!

Nice job, guys!  Turned out to be a nice day.  I crossed the bridge going to Frederick at 8:30 and 9:45 am returning and saw the river looked good.

What a beautiful day!  Strange how it was void of animals and birds.  Fish seemed to take a similar trend when we started then as the sun hit the water got more active

Ernie's doing a great job of handling the boat around rocks and finding the spots where the fish were.  And some of the fish were real pullers.  We both got some serious tuggage.

When we walked into the Roadhouse Jerk Ernie said "See, I told you we'd be back" and the owner came out with a big smile on his face.  When I asked for some of his home made hot sauce he came through.  Ernie had a little taste and verified the heat.  I poured the rest on my food and was sweating after the second bite.  Even the owner cracked up at me sweating.

Thanks again Captain!
