That is 1 day before baby is due! So I won't be able to attend this time around. Hopefully in the fall!

Together we'll fight the long defeat.

Re: Spring 2021 BRHS Fishing Club Tourney- Saturday, May 8!

Another very successful HS tourney in the books!

We in our 13th year and this was tourney #25. The only one we have missed was spring of 2020 because of the Covid. The weather has never stopped us but we did push it back a week one year. What a run!!

It started with some light rain but it tapered off nicely. Sun came out and so did the wind. But it was nice out!!

Still...they caught some fish.

We were lucky, after they left we got some more wind and heavier rain.

We had 10 HS anglers and 3 non HS kids participate..

The President, Garrett Vigil, did a great job rounding up participants.

And many thanks to dad Vigil (John) for the help with the prize bags etc.

In the non HS division, Avery Grimm took 1st place (and tied for Lunker) with 6 or 7 fish. She caught a red ear, a green sunfish, a catfish and 4 LMB. Anny Luparello took 2nd and Madison Luparello took 1st in her first ever tourney. They are a chip off their dad for sure!!

HS Division:

1. Jacob Leiter (he also caught the Lunker, tied w/ Avery)
2. Garrett Vigil
3. Yusuf Sharif (note: Yusuf overslept and he came late. He had never caught a fish before...ever!)

Due to Covid, we limited food to water and snacks. Still, all the kids had a good time! We hope to bring back the food in the fall.

Also, we may have a summer fun tourney...will definitely get some pizza for that one! Stay tuned!

She started and ended there but caught others in different places. Of course, the non HS kids can use live bait and she caught more than anyone else.

BTW, I saw a bass spawning in the "spot". At first, I though the fish was in trouble since she was on her side but then realize what was going on. Early spawn but more to come.
