Fished Tippecanoe this morning for the first time ever and first time fishing the lakes in a loooooong time. Waiting for my daughter to get a little older until I start taking her out Any how, this morning was a skunk but it sure was beautiful. I saw a big snapper, a fat ground hog, and just barely missed a hawk diving onto the water. I heard a loud splash and when I looked there was the bird on the water. I didn't see it leave with a fish so it must have missed. Or just wanted a bath? I left the house with just a swimbait because that's just what was tied on. I didn't bring my full kit because I knew I wouldn't be fishing long. Had I thought about it more I should have tied on something top water since that was kind of active this morning.
It's late in the year but it was really refreshing fishing the lakes. I'll make it my goal to catch something before the year is out haha.

You're right. I really enjoy the quite morning, sun rise, and various animals I saw. The nature/scenery is half the reason I enjoy fishing, okay maybe just a tad less than half
