Thanks for starting this thread. Looks like I'll need to climb in the attic soon.

Lucky for me my house faces north and is on what is usually the leeward side of the row of townhouses.

No apparent damage inside, but...  We had solar installed this year. The 2" space between the roof and the panels kept the heat in the poorly insulated attic from melting the snow on the front of the house. The 2.5' of snow traveled like a glacier down the slope of the panels and did a number on the gutter on the front of the house. What we thought was a seamless gutter was actually 10' sections. The 3 sections in the center are all separated and curled downward. This evenings rain is flowing over the front porch like we're at Niagara Falls. Now that the snow has melted from below the gutter, a state farm call is in order.

My solar panels drop a huge payload of snow on the gutters and have ripped them from the fascia boards last year. I will replace the broken boards a second time this year and have the gutters replaced with those leaf free gutters. Planning a head.

My next door neighbors have there gutters on the ground now that the solar panel dumped the snow. So my just bent over and almost ripped off is much better.

.....fans and dehumidifiers have been running 24/ 7 and will continue until Friday. Same scenario in our newly remodeled bathroom.

Damage is not as visual as one wound think.

Wow, that makes me rethink getting solar. I'm far off from being able, so hopefully by then they'll come up with a preventive solution.

Sorry about the boat damage, but there is one bright side. If I get wet... you get wet.
