Fishing on TV
It is very frustrating when your Direct TV fails. I have a Comcast cable account also for my internet. It comes with cable TV Basic for another couple bucks as backup for when the dish stops working. Dish has been down since big snow fall and it cost a bunch just to get those fishing shows. So I turned off the dish since the cable has been good enough for my loverly bride.
But with no fishing on cold winter weekends it has driven me to find better ways to watch fishing. Well I added four new channels to my Roku that are just fishing for 52.99 a year and I will never look back now..
Saving about a thousand a year is cool.
I wanted the MLF online pass but it is no longer available...same with two other online fishing shows.. something about June 30th 2015 on all the sites about it is no longer available. Wonder what changed?

I've been recording the programs on Destination America every Saturday morning. Don't feel like getting up early to watch them.
In November I recorded an episode of 'In the Loop' about musky fly fishing in VA with Blane Chocklett.
Last night one of my fellow motorcycle racing friends was showing me some pics of fishing he did down in Panama City area with some other racers. Lots of action. Then he showed me pics from another racer that lives in Salem, VA. HUGE muskies. Lots of them! Apparently he knows how to find them. I'll have to get together with him.

I travel to Panama City often. Haven't been able to fish yet. Was your friend mostly inshore fishing or offshore?

You need to let me know when you are scheduled to go down there. I can work from anywhere on most days......and then get out for a day of fishing.
I know a guide from OBX that will be spending time down there (Destin) to chase cobia......

I really like that MLF tournament format. Every 12 incher is a big deal.

I found season 1 on one of those Ruku channels and was amazed how they used Boga Grips to weigh the fish. Also tossing of fish overboard and the huge Satellite thingy in the back of the boat for the updates. First season and they needed to work out all the kinks in the rules and tech. It also was a more sudden death type season. And no selects to add more anglers.

Agreed...I like the format.
But hard to put in to local tourneys. I just don't like putting fish in live well to take to a weigh in.
Length is not liked because all fish are built differently.
Time to go fishin' again!

He did both. He said the best fishing was at the bridge from Eastpoint to St George Island. That area to Port St Joe is where he mostly fished. Caught tons of blues from the shore one day.

I expect sometime in March. I will give you as much advance notice as I can. That would be a ton of fun.

I haven't traveled down that way before. Looks like a nice area. I need to start talking with the guys I know down there and see who has a boat!
