Went out to one of the ponds this morning before the rains came. Nothing for about 2 hours and seemed like they just would not bite my P&J. Started to drizzle and I decided to slow down my jig even more to just barely moving it an inch at a time with shaking in place a few seconds between 1" hops. Got a 14-15 inch bass after 3 casts. Three or 4 casts later.......a little bump and it did not move. Set the hook anyway and it was on. She put up a very good fight and weighed in at 5.06 lbs. Really fat football fish! Cant wait to see what she might weigh when full of roe in the spring!

That is a nice mama indeed!
I thought about going out this morning....only took 2 seconds to think about it. Did a workout instead.

Nice fish! they say some biguns can be caught this time of year. So super slow worked well eh? Any idea of water depth or cover where caught?

8-10 feet. No cover. Just a ledge nearby.

It's like you live underwater and know where everything is.

I can "see" what is under the water from feeling the bottom with my jig!
