Re: Key Largo/Islamorada info

The most fun place I have stayed is Holiday Isle (I think it is now called the Postcard Inn at Holiday Isle).  Rooms are nice (I checked, somewhere around $200 a night which is good compared to many resorts in the area), it has a beach and a pool.  Best part is the marina is right next door.  Even if you don't charter a boat, you can check out the days catch with a drink in your hand and never have to get in your car.  Also has a nice, popular Tiki Bar on site.  I stayed there a LOOOOOOONNNNNNG time ago and loved it.  Still has a great reputation and looks inviting every time I drive by.

Thanks for bringing this topic up.  It got me fantasizing while I sit here and watch the snow fall.

I know you would chime in.....maybe I will check out all of the Marinas and Tackle Shops to see if anyone is looking to sell.

Our plans may be changing so not sure if we will head down there (we may go north or west from Miami) but it is nice thinking that in 10 days, I will be closer to the Equator than the Arctic Circle!
