You were right.  I just went back to his site and he's getting pounded by those that are commenting and apparently deleting his site from their favorites bar.

I may just keep monitoring it for a few days just for the entertainment .

DNR says anglers had illegal rockfish

The Department of Natural Resources has leveled charges against anglers for allegedly possessing illegal rockfish. Among the department’s recent charges:

    - Lester Melendez Dominguez, 28, and Obed Jonatan Sanchez Rivera, 29, both from Hyattsville, were both charged with possession of 10 undersize rockfish at Kent Narrows on Aug. 28.
    - Jose A. Gonzales, 32, of Takoma Park, was charged with possession of 18 undersize rockfish at Terrapin Park on Kent Island on Sept. 2.
    - Efrain Guerra, 30; Victorino Gonzalez Hernandez, 29; and Selvin Noel Rudriquez Sr., 24; all of Laurel, were charged with possession of 237 undersize rockfish at Kent Narrows on Sept. 2.
    - Roger Mauricio Nolasco Portillo, 28, of Washington, D.C., was charged with possession of 20 undersize rockfish and exceeding the daily catch limit at the Romancoke Pier on Kent Island on Kent    Island on Sept. 8.
    - Brenda Adali Villagren Acevedo, 40, of Hyattsville was charged with possession of 11 undersize rockfish and exceeding daily catch limits at Kent Narrows on Sept. 15.

Meanwhile, Natural Resources Police discovered an old gill net used by commercial watermen near Bloody Point, off the southern tip of Kent Island, on Sept. 10. The half-mile net was not marked and was full of barnacles, trash, blue crabs, horseshoe crabs and menhaden, according to the DNR.

The net was in the same area where police found thousands of yards of illegal nets in the winter of 2011.

Rockfish, also called striped bass, are a lucrative fishery on the Chesapeake Bay. The population has bounced back after a decline that led to a fishing moratorium in the 1980s.

There is no way in hell that only 7 hispanic guys/gals were ticketed in that 19 day spread from Aug 28-Sept 15.  Had to be some Bubbas and good 'ole boys caught during that time frame.........if not, M-DNR must be taking a lot of coffee breaks at the Holiday Inn......and only going after the easy prey betweek breaks.
