David Policansky and I met at 7am for breakfast at the South County Café in Deale. I recommend the place (good cranberry bread pudding).
So off we went out of Rockhold Creek in David's 21' Grady White....
We quickly hit the jetty and picked up a small striper as well as a small white perch.
But he bay was flat calm so we ran across to look for breaking fish.....and we looked...and we looked.
So we decided to go to Black Walnut Point where David caught a liitle blue fish along with many striopers on the fly.
I was able to catch a few stripers and a couple of white perch as well. No size to any of them so no pictures!
We moved around quite a bit even came up to the fleet but things loooked quiet so we ran back across but north of Deale. Finally, some breaking fish!
Then David took me to a rip that he has scored on and we both caught nice fish....mine got away, his 21 incher did not!
Some of the fish were small as indicated by this fly caught stiper!
I used the 5wt fly rod part of the time but David used his about 75% of the time. We caught a slew of fish to include the keeper striper and an 11" white perch!
Incredibly, I snagged a gull by the wing with my line. Fortunately he did not get hooked so I reeled him in slowly and untangled the line with no damage to the bird!
We saw this guy at anchor so we got close....
....very impressive!

So how much Democratic politics did David spout? When I was with you and him 4 years ago, he could not help himself.

Let's just say that we have some great debates...but we have a blast fishing!
