computer question
lately when i google, i get the usual results. when i click on a link, i get redirected to a trash marketing site.
how do i fix this??

I had something like this recently. In short, installing and running ComboFix and tdsskiller a few times fixed it.

Sound to me like you have picked up a virus that is hijacking your browser. Look to get a free scanner like malwarebytes to clean it up. If you need actual protection, look into avast (freeware as well). Both are what our IT guy recommends and I have been running at home for a while with out any issues for a few years now.

I tried Malwarebytes for this issue and it wouldn't fix it.

try multiple browsers.
when you hover your mouse over the link, you should see the actual url at the bottom. does it look legit?
you have a trojan/malware of some type.
look at your browsers addons/toolbars. you may have inadvertently added some crap that is causing this. if it happens on all browsers its a system trojan. if it only happens on internet explorer, and not firefox its an addon of some type

Wow. This must be a pretty good one. MWB is usually pretty rock solid at detecting and cleaning.
Are you using IE or firefox?
