Hope you all had a great father's day! Mine was fantastic! Asked my wife for a cheap pair of polarized glasses - which I received. I am amazed at the difference they make. I wanted to try a cheap pair before I spent any real money on one.
Went to Prince William Forest Park with the family to catch some sunnies with my little girls and to try out the glasses. Caught a ton. It was so much easier sight fishing with them.
I caught a few of these: See below. All between 4 and 8 inches. I caught something similar before that I was told was a creek chub - they looked almost identical except the ones I caught before had a distinct lateral line and small little barbels. Anyone have a clue if this is the same fish or something different. They fought pretty hard for their size and broke the water. It also had foam around its mouth - hoping it wasn't some rare form of fish rabies.

Thanks, I was looking at the "fishes of fairfax county" website and it kinda looks like a fallfish.

Fallfish is what I call them. Some folks call them creek chubs. They can put up a pretty good fight, lots of jumps. They are fun on the ultra light.

another vote for Fallfish.
As far as the sunglasses go, you should look into getting a pair of nice ones. They are much clearer and will help you see much better and at the same time they will protect your eyes better. Cheap sunglasses can sometimes reduce the incoming light which keeps your pupils from dilating but fail to filter UV rays which damage your eyes.
