Water Temps

Water temps are a rising. With it going to be in the 60's and raining saturday, that should provide even more of a jump..

Washington, DC     46.0 °F
Baltimore, MD     45.0 °F
Solomons Island, MD     45.0 °F

Tracking water temps down in Richmond too. Co-worker and I are going to sow striper fish on the 15th. Bring it on!

so with this wacky ass weather, are the fish beginning to munch earlier?  we still retrieving patiently slow? are they starting to actually swim instead of be dormant cold fish? they coming out of the depths?

I caught this 6.1 last Sunday doing the super slow drag. Water was a dirty 46 degrees (assuming my aquarium thermometer was accurate haha ). Crawled that jig for 5+ hours and only had one bite.

I'll probably keep it pretty slow until we get a few more days of real nice weather. That's just me though.

Crappies have already been spawning for days. They started almost a month earlier than usual. Really crazy.
