thats a good spec! some good mangroves and croacker to. that pompano the one that looks like a permit are worth alot for the meat. that one you caught is a 50$ fish

They are teaching you well down there at the marina.....that pompano does not look that big but they are tasty!

......The local grocery here sells those pompano at $2.99/pound......head, guts and all! Ernie would still be hollerin' if he landed a permit. ![]()

I have hooked a mid teens permit......I could not turn him with 50 lb braid and a MHF Tidemaster rod.
