Monday could be rain/sleet/snow/ice.

Wed-Thur is looking like the same.

Might have to start snow prediction totals for each as we get closer........They are 5 and 7-8 days away, but yesterday's 4" surprise might merit closer attention next time .

Making plans for a quick FL trip to go see my mom! Of course, I will need to go meat fishing since all of the snapper and grouper filets that I gave her last time I was there are gone. She actually asked me when I was going again. I will oblige.

The ice that some of the models are calling for are ticking me off. I have to be in DC on Tuesday.....no turning around option for me.

Looks like that event will be north of us. Looking to get maybe an inch of snow on Wed.

Update edit: Wed now looking 1-3" snow...starting around 6 am.......but not worthy of a prediction thread because it may turn to rain at the end.

22-23 event is now late-night 23rd + 24th event of wintery mix.

Reagan Airport got 0.4"
Dulles Airport got 2.2"

Friday/Saturday.......and Sunday/Monday could be interesting! 2 more clippers on the way. Stay Tuned.............might have to start prediction threads as we get closer!

Looking to be an all rain event as of now .

Edit:......2 hours later the weather gurus have changed their minds and now are estimating 1-4" for our area for the Fri/Sat storm (clipper).........much like the last one that gave us 2+.

IS it worth a prediction thread?

yes, i like playing darts. whats interesting here though is leesburg, which is not more then 1-2 miles west by crows flight is an inch or so deeper today.

Looks like a couple rain/snow mix minimal storms coming in the next 5 days, but nothing of significance to cause a prediction thread. Next real snow threat is 9 days out according to the WX-gods...........but that can peter out to a cold rain as we get closer.

Things have changed dramatically since my post yesterday. We may have our greatest potential snow of the year so far......on Super Bowl Sunday thru Monday. Some of the weather gurus are already calling it the Super Bowl Storm . Should know more late Friday.......so look for a possible prediction thread on Saturday with an 11 pm deadline so y'all (Paul ) can get your predictions in on time .
