Goose Creek Report - 062509
I hit Goose Creek yesterday starting near the Riverside Pkwy Bridge. The bite was slow as I used a pop-r and a circle hook rigged power minnow. I only ended up with one fish, a healthy 1lb LMB. I had some small (fingerling small) sized smallies go after the minnow, but I didn't get into anything. The water is probably normal pool, if not a little high, but the water clarity has improved over the last week.
This place is definitely easier to fish when the water level is down...
If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

you're definitely right about it being easier to fish when the water is down. We tried to wade downstream from the rapids at the landing to the rock bluff on the opposite bank but we couldn't make it there because the water was too murky/high to safely wade.
