George, Chris and I needed to do some exploring today. But what we found was not that good.

There'll be days like this, my mama said

There was no minnow life, hardly any birds chirping and the eagles, white egrets, blue herons and cormorants all looked like statutes. The water was stained a bit but not really dirty.

But...lunch was really good!

We christened Chris' new riverside lunch table and devoured the home made sammies!

I did catch a nice kitty that gave us an initial rush with the shallow water violent hit!

And George did manage a decent smallie but it was not quite picture worthy.

I hope today was just an anomaly.

Time to go fishin' again!

Great time with the exception of the absence of anything living but us and a bald eagle looking at us like we're something to eat.

Chris even went diving for spinner baits.

Ernie got the biggest fish and I caught the most small mouth

That's all I'm saying ;-)
