Today, Roney joined me on a float with Chris.
It was raining on the way to the meet up spot and it drizzled (for about 20 seconds) on our way to lunch. But once on the water, we had a cloudy day with nice temps, a little humid and light winds.
The water was nice as was the fishing. We caught 15-20 fish and had a ton of blowups. Lots of hootin' and hollerin' as we saw some aggression out there. And we even did some wading!
The morning started fast and furious with fish crashing on bait...and our lures!
Roney caught a bunch on the Whopper Plopper, I caught mine on a fluke (various colors) and an in-line spinner. Strangely, I did not catch any on the Flat Worm.

When we got to Big Belly's we were advised they would be closed for another hour as the owner and cook had to take care of some paperwork. ![]()
So we went to Staples Grocery (formally Roots 657).
Roney and I had some very good smash burgers and Chris had a chicken wrap. We all liked our food for sure but you need to visualize it as I forgot pics. ![]()

Nice fish. Great day to float - not hot at all

What section did you float yesterday? I did a wading trip on the Monocacy at Worthington Farm yesterday morning, with my son, and it was terrible. Very high, very muddy, and very fast water. No bites in 2 hours.

These were good, a double burger but Big Belly's is more of a real smash burger. Still...it was satisfying!
