Warning- This report will lack pictures due to our laziness (and highly dangerous rapids) not to the lack of fish!

John and I met up with Travis Edens and put in around 9am using Travis' trusty and comfy raft.

And as you could tell, the scenery is exemplary!!

While we were having lunch (Italian Store subs), we had a fly by (very low) but as I mentioned in the 1st sentence, we just didn't get the job done with a nice pic.

The day was spectacular and the fishing was kinda finicky but still, John ended up with a half dozen on the fly and I went 15 for 22 with 3 other bites. Those 7 misses were fish that I had on but got off before I could land them. One of them took of like a carp. I think it was a big smallie but I will never know...will just dream about it. lol

Most fish were fat and healthy 13-16"ers. We probably only caught 4-5 dinks.

Great day to be out for sure and enough fish pullage to make it an even better day!!

Saw a bunch of eagles as well...

PS- with the river being so low, getting through the rapids looked dicey (I was sitting up front) but Travis is a master oarsman and got us through smoothly and safely. I marvel at the skill that he has controlling that raft.

Time to go fishin' again!

I'll say that just the one pic of the river is amazing, so I can only imagine what it was like to be surrounded by that.  Good day on the waters and stogies too!

It's like that the whole time. Hard to absorb it because one is always focused on the next target.

I had a couple of good smokes but John brought me a Cuban Trinidad La Casa. I put it away immediately for it to be smoked at a later date.
