same thing down here crossing over the Rappahannock river in fredericksburg. There also looked to be a lot of logs and big debris. Hopefully everything settles down soon.

That is nuts at great falls! I never understood what makes someone think it's a good idea to place their lives in danger like that. It's different when it's your career or duty, but for a thrill....there are more safer ways to do that.

Missing kayaker (Sean Chilson) was found on May 20 near Biggs Ford Rd. That's just above Frederick. RIP.

If you get a chance to listen to the Fishing the DMV podcast ( about the 1 hour mark) featuring Travis Edens, you will hear about 3 guys needing to get rescued by Travis and an outfitter. One of the guys wondered if he made a bad decision going out in a yak high water.
