We are on for Sunday!

So far, we have 14 high schoolers participating. Have seen lots of bass cruising the shallows but the kids are scattered so no clue on what they have caught.
A former president ran into to a couple BR students while fishing the other day and told them about the tourney. It just keeps on giving.
Spring is always a farewell for the seniors (5 of them) as they move on to their next phase but luckily, many come by to say hi on occasion.

We had a great day with 18 in total participating. Plenty of fish were seen but few were caught. Still, these guys had a blast.
And...I had 3 guys step up to lead the BRHS Fishing Club for the next 2 years!
Many thanks to Adam and Sam for their leadership. Off to college they go.
As usual, the kids that participate in the Fishing Tourney are the best of class! Excellent young men and women.
Here are some pics (not too many as I was flying solo today).
The loot!
Trying to catch some.
^^ I think he was telling him to get out of his honey hole! ^^
Anything for a lost lure!
Winners and fellowship!
Interestingly, I saw 4 guys fishing but didn't recognize them. Asked if they wanted to fish the tourney. "Sure", they said. They were form a rival HS. Then I told them about raffle and prize bags at the end. Plus hot dogs. They changed their answer to, "heck yea!".
I think they will be back...

Awesome job as always, Ernie. I thought you had help. I will try to bring one of my grandkids next time. Lots going on with them now.
Glad to see the group is replenishing and growing. You are doing a great thing.

Five of the 18 are seniors so they fly the coup!
Hopefully, the 4 I recruited form Briar Woods will come back in the fall.
We had no non HS kids this year. The regulars were all busy with baseball, softball and soccer.
