Re: Sunday

Hey, but I won't complain about the extra hour sleep.  My wife hates it.

Re: Sunday

But an hour of sleep is not worth dark afternoons for 3 months...IMHO.

Re: Sunday

It is the standard time.  DST is the "artificial" time created for farmers in the Spring/Summer.  If they did away with it, we would still have the dark Winters.

Re: Sunday

They debated this to smithereens when they extended the changeovers years ago. The most legit argument against keeping DST was having kids walking to school or bus stop in the dark. Wife hated going back to EST because of the many brake checks on 495 between 95 and GA Ave when the sun was rising. Now  that we're both retired the only effect is getting up an hour earlier to go out in the cold to fish. Enjoy tomorrow's 5:02 sunset :-)

And I've never understood the extra hour sleep deal. If I get 8 hours of sleep normally, I will get 8 hours of sleep tonight. The only thing that throws me off is the time adjustment.

Re: Sunday

I agree.  I was just messing with you.   My wife makes a big deal about the time change.

Re: Sunday

I remember my mom would always say new time or old time. That usually went on for a month
each time.

My wife disagrees

Dog's still on the old schedule and will wake her up to go outside

Me, I'll just sleep through it all

Re: Sunday

I absolutely hate it. For the next couple months I can't get anything done outside after work. Also I have an East/West commute and the sun is absolutely blinding on both trips this time of year. Sooo aggravating.
