Headed over to Burke Lake with the family today for a picnic and to check out the water levels. It is still very low after the dam work. The water is lapping at the end of the ramp and looks to be less than knee deep for at least 50-60ft past the launch. Too shallow for my boat but I saw a couple of fellas fishing from canoes and one gent in a small shallow draft skiff. There were a few folks fishing from the bank too but I didn't see any action. Walking around the shoreline I found a couple of spinner baits and a storm crankbait in good condition so that was nice bonus. Beautiful day by the lake.

Did you get a chance to see the other ramp? I'm wondering how much more launchable it might be from the smaller one pictured.

Sorry Dan - didn't check out the other ramp. I flicked a lure over there this morning and saw another couple of small boats out. One had launched from the Fisheries ramp pictured above but the other must have launched from the park ramp. Was only there for a couple of hours but didn't see or do much catching - saw what looked to be a small bluegill being caught (unless it was live bait), and i foul hooked a shad. Another beautiful day out there though.
