Jackson Cuda Kayak question

Hi Guys,

I'm doing some research on kayaks that have adjustable seats and came across the Jackson Cuda 14' kayak. Does anyone here own one of these kayaks? If so, what has your experience been with them..i.e. tracking, stability, speed etc.

I'm liking what I am seeing with the features but am not very familiar with the Jackson brand. It says that they are made in U.S.A but does that mean these are well made, sturdy kayaks?

Any feedback from any Jackson owners out there would much appreciated! Thanks

Khanh

Re: Jackson Cuda Kayak question

I have several friends who have them and love them.....but I have no personal experience.

Most of them use it on rivers for smallies vs the bay.

Time to go fishin' again!

Re: Jackson Cuda Kayak question

We had the 10 ft Cuda donated by Jackson and Appomattox River Co for our tournamrnt and it was a very well thought out and comfortable boat. They are always rated high by their owners and i do not see many up for resale.

I have not paddled a cuda but at 14ft i would think it is bay worthy.

Re: Jackson Cuda Kayak question

R I am starting to lean towards the Cuda 12 due to the lower weight. The 14 is nice but the weight is towards the high end at about 70#. I just wanted to hear from any current owners to see what their experience has been with the Cuda in both open lakes and slow moving rivers. I'm hoping I can find a good deal during the winter for a used one.
