Jamie Gold let me know he was going to fish Cedar so I grabbed my 4 wt, some flies, a couple of stogies (Crux Passport) and some hand sanitizer.

It was a little windy but I did manage to get a nice red ear...

Initially, I was throwing a bee like fly, kinda mid column.

Once I switched to a 1/64th oz jig fly, I got the bite.

Had 3-4 more bites and landed 2 more smaller ones...

The BGs are still in hunker mode. We need the frost warnings to go away...and the wind.

It was nice interacting with someone and sharing a nice smoke!

Nice work Ernie .... i'm itching to get out. Do you know if there are any restrictions about launching kayaks at pavilion lake and Alder?

None that I know of but ya never know...AV has closed off playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, ball fields etc. But you are alone in a yak...
