Hit the ponds today with a P&G to no avail. Then went back to the house and rigged up a silver buddy. Pounded Pavilion with it for over an hour only to get one BG. Decided to make one last cast. About 3 jigs back and WHAM
. Knew I had snagged one of those grass carp. Only had 6-lb test
. After about 40 minutes of trying to get line back in......it was tired. A lady walked up just as I was getting it out of the water and she was kind enough to take a pic on my phone. Could hardly pick it up and estimated it to be 40-45 lbs......pic does not show how thick the shoulders were....about 7-8" Returned to the water to be snagged again
. Oh yeah......that is my blood from the sharp gill plate ![]()
