it looks like I may be is moving to York Pennsylvania this month.

time has a way of washing down our lives.

this puts me near the Susquehanna River, which to my eye is about twice the size of the Potomac.

Also nearby is lake Redman, an approx 300 acre reservoir.

The last 6yrs have been a long haul. Job loss, divorce etc
Were it not for the solace of the water.....

Take peace in the tranquil sounds of the running water, the splashing of your lure, the pull of your drag. York is just up the road and you've made it through the difficult parts I'd say. It still doesn't diminish the fact that you endured the hardships of life seemingly all at once. I raise a glass to you sir......

You are not defined by what happens to you in life, but how you handle it. Look hard enough for the good and the gift, you can find it. Gratefulness is the key to happiness and we can always be grateful for something.

Those Susky smallies have huge tails...great fighters! You will conquer them.

I trust that you will keep posting on the site.....I always look forward to what you have to say.

You do realize that they get more snow in York but keep your zero predictions in your mind. It helps!

And to Jeff's point, I am grateful that I got to know you a bit while you were down here.

Just saw this today....thought it to be very appropriate after what's been said: "The same boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It's not about the circumstance, but rather what are you made of." I need to remember this......

I read a little bit on the reservoir there. based on a single article that has large mouth small mouth striped bass spotted bass bluegill musky and crappie

the Susquehanna is absolutely beautiful and I figured it had small mouth in it.
probably some giant cats may be wallah I do I don't know

I guided on the Susky for five years. Spent three straight weeks there each April before smallmouth season opened. Have caught many 5lb plus smallies and countless musky and tigers. Fished out of Swatara Creek and lived in the Super 8 in Middletown PA. Those days gone and so are the fish.

The Jaunita is fishing well as is the river above Harrisburg ie Duncannon last couple years. Have some clients from York each year and they tell me Redman is a tough place to fish.

Behind Hill Island has some really decent lgmouth. You will need to put in at ramp below rollover dam and just before Three Mile Island.

Lots of great places to fish around York..
