Ha! I am at a T-mobile store getting my mom another flip phone....hard to find.

Struggled a bit on my 4 mile walk this morning. Didn't know what to make of 75 humid degrees!

Nice breeze though.....sun is bright too!

Yep!  Ernie royally sucks as a friend!  I hope he falls in when he hooks up with another 100 lb Tarpon......

SARCASM!!!! big_smile big_smile big_smile

If I hooked up with a 100 lb Tarpon, I would be happy to fall in the nice warm water.

Hope he is enjoying it while we freeze.  Gonna have to suffer his posts telling us how warm and sunny it is.

Re: Ice out Report

Well checked the 301 bridge today and ice north it breaking up and heading south. South side of bridge almost all soft water. Rap is skim ice with some thick ice in shallows. Piankatank is open but all coves are iced in.. they got 8 inches last storm..

My house down there is frozen solid after heat shut down about three weeks ago it looks. Toilets frozen solid , several pipes broken.. but the beer is still cold in the fridge. That is going to cost me.

Re: Ice out Report

Sorry about the damage Mike....

Windy and rainy after 11 am today. Lots of folks complaining....I was in shorts all day. Could have cared less about wind and rain. It was close to 80!

Re: Ice out Report

Drive today showed very little ice north or south of WW bridge. Some back in the coves on the shaded side.. But for the most part the Potomac is open. Next I will check the ramps and report back.

Boat Shake out next weekend.. birds singing like it was spring this morning while I ice skated to my truck down the front steps..

Even smelled like spring this morning..

Re: Ice out Report

The DC part of the Potomac stills has ice...no getting to Fletcher's.

Ashburn Village ponds are still unfishable for the most part but I am starting to see water.

There is enough sand on my court to build a sand castle....a BIG one!

Re: Ice out Report

We have ice out and the ramps are totally open. A few ice bergs floating out from the south side of the bays. The spoils are almost totally open.
Water is three creams in your coffee.

Lots of loons out there.. not cormorants but loons.

Very cool..
