Pelham is ranked number 1 in our area by a long shot.  Anybody ever fish there?  Know anything about it?

Yeah, I live right nearby.

It's very muddy and full of all kinds of fish, most of which are small. Although the first bass I ever caught out of there was a very nice one.

Re: Virginia Reservoirs Ranked for Largemouth Bass Fishing

I was out on Pelham in my yak for about an hour on Saturday. I was mostly there for other reasons, but I did fish for a few minutes.

Caught some teeny tiny crappies on a tube. Then fished a silver buddy and caught a couple little carp and a yellow perch.

Supposedly the lake has a decent population of YP, but I've only ever caught a couple in there.

It was $40 for a boating and fishing pass this year. Ugh.
