Upper Potomac 6/9

I launched at Landers a little before 7 and headed upstream. I started with and pretty  much stuck to a green pumpkin tube and a firetiger crankbait.  My first smallie came on the second cast of the tube.  I caught about a dozen smallies total.  These were the biggest.

I also caught a few rock bass.

This one came from upstream undercut in the rock in the background.

Working my way downstream on the VA side I got this cat.  The water on the VA was much clearer.

After taking a nap I decided to check out the Pavilion.  I ended up trying to see what I couldn't catch a bass on, nothing.  I don't think any were over 12"
Just when I thought I finally got a decent bass I got this instead.

And on the next cast to the same spot.  The small swimbait worked the best for bass too.

In MD, just above Point of Rocks and below Brunswick.

They're probably why the bass are so small.

Zombiefish! Those are some slabs.

"Fish," he said softly, aloud, "I’ll stay with you until I am dead."
