Supermoon

There is a Supermoon this Saturday night.  ( http://www.csmonitor.com/Science/2012/0 … f-the-year )

How do you think it will effect the fishing in the Tidal Potomac or Chesapeake on Saturday and Sunday?  High tide is at 8:45pm in Va Beach Sat night.

Re: Supermoon

sounds like an excellent excuse to give the significant other to get out. "But it's the Super Moon!!!"

Re: Supermoon

This is the moon that puts big stripers close to shore by 301 bridge. Unfortunately, it's on the up rivers side, so they can't be kept. Still, always good for C & R in the evening and a  short paddle from Aqualand's ramp.

Re: Supermoon

I won't be able to get during the full moon, but I will be fishing in the Ocean City area on Monday and Tuesday after doing some racing in NJ over the weekend.

Re: Supermoon

TYler and I are kayak fishing the VA Beach area Saturday and Sunday with Chad (the guy from Kayakbassfishing.com and Hook1).  Should be a great time.  We are celebrating Tyler's 16th Bday.  I always hear the full moon is really good fishing and wondered if the Supermoon would make a difference for the better or worse.
