did well again today
3.8, 4.6, and a nice 4(estimate) that shook off as i was trying to lip it.
the 3.8 jumped completely out of the water
i was using a green & orange bitsy bug, trailed with a watermelon magic trick worm.
i was throwing trilene 8# pro flouro

it was a remarkable day.
i went to a friends farm pond near lovettesville after a church meeting this evening.
i was swimming a 3/16 white bitsy bug with a white zoom trick worm as a trailer.
i caught many shorties
well, a week or so ago i went to 8# flouro on my baitcaster.
i had a spool i bought for the ultralight, but it proved too stiff.
so to use it up, and , i reasoned, perhaps help w/ the daytime/clearwater tough bite of late, on it went.
so tonight i get about a dozen shorties in the moonlight, and i am thinking a wise man would retie.
well, this is a pain in the dark, even w/ a flashlight, so i put it off.
naturally i got a really good wack, and broke it off.
so i retie clumsily, am not thrilled w/ the knot, but dont bother to cut it and retie.
walking out i get crushed again, and break it off.
i am liking the flouro again.
i am thinking it is time for a spool of trilene 14# pro, even w/ the price tag

yeah that stuff is expensive. I really like the 100% fluorocarbons. They are much more manageable than the fluoro coated lines. I use Trilene 100% but I've also heard really good things about Seaguar Invizx 100%.

it was hard to get a pic sitting on the john, so i released the others w/o photo.
it was also hot and windy. by the time i put this fish back in it was already tacky. i dont like that
