Today, Mike and I fished with Travis Edens of King Fisher Guide Services.
The forecast called for partly cloudy skies (they missed on this), temps in the mid 80's (they got it right), light variable winds (at times it was a bit more) and plenty of fish to be caught.
The Solunar calendar called this an Average day. I'll take it.
While we caught a lot of fish (Ernie in the low 20s and Mike in the high 20s) but there were no biggies to be found.
All the fish but one looked healthy and thick. Voracious fighters!
I caught some fish on an underspin, some on the Flat Worm, a few on the fluke, one on a buzz bait and the rest on a belly weighted Little Dipper. Mike stuck with the Dipper most of the time. We also lost at least a dozen fish! Getting bites was not an issue.
The pics...

Lots of floating algae for the last mile of the float or so. Stinky!
Both Mike and I got cramps in our hands and forearms. Nice problem to have!

Way to go! I will take a numbers day in late July anytime! Doesn't look like the grass was too much of an issue.
