I needed to start burning some time at work so no better way to do that than on the river. And after last week's Multi day downpours, the river was looking good. I drove over it once to get to Spot I went to Aside having little more stain and a thought it looked good.

I went to an area that has been treating me well and has a lot of rock out of the water so I could work my way upstream and beach the kayak on some rocks and then float back down to the beginning. Started off With a 4" swim bait and316 oz weight just because it was a little 316 oz weight just because it was a little more stained, fluke with a chartreuse tail tipped, The top water chopper and a crankbait.

In the 1st couple hours I ended up landing 5, mostly on In the 1st couple hours I ended up landing 5, mostly on the fluke And 1 on the swimbait.  This area has a decent amount of shower water so even though it was a little more stained the white fluke with the chartreuse tip was able to stand out. A couple of those went 15" and were nice and healthy. I did have what felt like a decent 1Grab a hold of the fluke and shoot off with it but Didn't see it.

Kept working way upstream and got to A stretch With a shower eddy decent size and some push water next to it. The swimbait stop producing so I tied on a 3 1? ?2" with an 8 oz weight and 1st cast had 1 about 13" slam it. That's 1 bait is bright white with a chartreuse back on it which I'm liking that color in stained water. Got a couple more on the fluke and the push Got a couple more on the fluke and A spinnerbait in the push water. Kept at it for a few more hours and caught Some more on the fluke and swim baits before calling it a day.  Ended up with a total of 14 or 15 small mouth all 13-15 " And healthy looking. I fish from1030 to about 4:00 so it was nice to get a solid day on the water. Lost the big ones but that's the name of the game sometimes
