Got out early

Tried for topwater, but no takers. Still pretty.
Moved around and finally got the skunk off with a Keitech swimbait.
That was the hot bite until it got tore up. I won't waste space with a bunch of dink pics, but I caught 6 hard-fighting cookie cutter smallies (12-14 inches) before 10am. This was the biggest.
I caught one that slammed a spinnerbait. It was not big. Then the copters came by.
The bite slowed and I floated the rest of the way. I used another swim bait and caught a couple more including this catfish.
And then one on the TRD.
I ended up with 10 smallies and the catfish. Fun morning with only one other boat that I saw. Off the water a little after 12:30pm. Lots of Eagles flying and I heard Turkeys in the morning.

Forgot to mention, water was about 1.6 feet. That's about as low as I can go to run anywhere. I was planning on mostly using the TM but lucked out. Did not run too far because I did not fill the gas and did not want to run out. Floating back worked out perfectly. Also, these fish fought super hard with the warming water. I did not turn on the fish finder for temp. USGS says 65-68 at POR.
