River 3/25/26

Got out with Jimmy today.  Was not the planned trip but improvised.  Met at the ramp at 7am.  Water as 3 feet at POR and temp was about 50 degrees.  First spot got one on a tube after about 20 minutes.  Left one neoprene glove on due to a finger cut that kept bleeding.

Caught another smaller fish on the tube floating a while later.  Goal was to get Jimmy his first smallie of 2026 and hopefully a nice one.  After a while, he was hooked up on the TRD.  Fat one that we should have weighed.

Bite slowed/ stopped and it got eerily quiet.  It was a good while before Jimmy caught a smaller fish on a tube.  We made a couple floats and ate our lunch before calling it quits.  Wanted to miss the increased winds forecasted.  Off the water by 1pm.  Strangely slow, but we had fun and mission accomplished.

Those little footballs had to be a blast to catch.  How did you cut your finger again?  lol
