Got on the water at the first sign of the sun peaking out. Rain the past few days and rain in the forecast. We got out just before the storm hit. Birds signing, raptors screeching, a mink (we think) swam by the boat. Ground hogs out and about. I had a good feeling about today.
Again, on another stretch I haven't done in a while. Water was a bit stained, but cleared up during the day. Bit pushy in places, but luv a good float. Fish were in the usually places for this time of the year. Baits thrown were tubes, stixbaits, grubs and spinnerbaits.
Probably hit the low 70's, water temps just barley hit 50dF, and some great company.
Even got a few fish in the normal spring places.
Great day to be on the water. Here's some of the bread & butter fish we got

And the beast of the day at 20.75". Adrenaline was running strong in the boat after that
