occoquan mon

we caught bass, but all were less than 2#

i did well w/ a bitsy bug, 1st w/ an orange power bait grub as a trailer, then later with a green shaky tail.

my pal got his on green shaky heads, and a crawfish crankbait.

the bass were in 20', and biting on the bottom

there were good schools of bait

i caught some crappie on a hair jig as well

it was a fine afternoon

Re: occoquan mon

i have not, but i am told that they are caught there.

that area in front of hoffmaster's marina will really be heating up soon

i did not target crappie specifically, but there are some big slabs to be had.

weekdays, from the dam spill to the bridges, will give up decent limits and pleasant fishing.

I imagine there are some monster cats milling around as well

Re: occoquan mon

Carl and I had some pretty fast action back there in the rocks under the dam. I wish we had more time to spend back there that day.
