After work, I met Bob at the Columbia Island Marina and we headed over to the Washington Channel.
Air temps were 90+ and water temps were 85+!
Low tide was at 6:43pm.
On the 1st pass we got a big hit....took some line....and then......gone! By gone I mean cut the line gone! Gar? Who knows!
Next pass yields a very healthy 20" striper!
It really was slim pickings for the evening but we managed another small stripier.......
.....and 4 blue cats.
All the traffic is gone and were are making our last pass as I type this.

And then a teeny striper as Bob reeled in the lines as we were getting ready to head back to the ranch!

It was fun. A bit hot at first but then it got more pleasant as the evening wore on.

I would rather be a bit hot than fight that nasty DC traffic.
Thanks again for the invite....a most pleasant way to spend a evening!

Bob and I talked about that last night. He wants you to come aboard as soon as you are able. He has the greatest trolling machine on the river!
