Get your kids hooked on fishing! This is a great way to introduce your kids to a hobby they'll enjoy the rest of their lives.

Another outstanding event!
I had the pleasure of helping out at one of the "weight stations". We had tons of kids, some know what they were doing, most did not.
It was neat to see a bunch of 1sts! Most of the kids either caught their 1st fish today or touched (that was my specialty) their 1st fish. George Moran and I manned the stand and answered many questions, tended to gut hooked fish and simply had an outstanding time!
When I left, Mia had the big fish of the day from our station!
Lots of ducks.....
.....and many turtles were hooked and safely released....we lost no toes or fingers!
Great job NHBA!!

Ernie:
Mia finished 2nd in her age group. We had an outstanding event. A total of 270 kids participated, with many of them first timers. Most of the winners were first timers and some of the parents were absolutely stunned! They had never even thought of their kid winning the event.
Tuesday, we will be taking the winners out on the Chesapeake Bay on the Charterboat Sea Dragon, out of Smith Point Marina in Reedville, Va. Captain Jeff Gurr has been very generous in providing the trip for the kids at no charge for five years now. Both the kids and their parents are very excited.
I will get the pictures processed as quickly as possible, but keep in mind my Photographer took almost 400 pictures and it will take some time to resize and post that many pictures.
