I decided to head out in the evening on Sunday to drop a line and see what was biting.

I fished around Alder and Beech and landed a nice 2lb 6oz LMB in Alder...likely guarding some fry. He hit the bait once and missed it, but after a couple of more casts, decided not to miss it again.

Beech was a bit quieter and I didn't see a lot in terms of size, but I ended up with a few smaller bass.
